Strategi iSeries 400 Software Removal

This procedure assumes that the iSeries 400 software was installed using default installation parameters. If non-standard installation parameters were specified, replace references to library and/or subsystems as appropriate.

Step 1 - Verify iSeries 400 Operator Authority
  • The user profile performing the removal must have *SECOFR class authority.

    Step 2 - End Strategi Subsystem
  • ENDSBS STRATEGI *IMMED

    Step 3 - Verify Strategi Library is not on Library Lists (system or user)
  • WRKOBJLCK OBJ(*LIBL/STRATEGI) OBJTYPE(*LIB)
    The WRKOBJLCK command should state that there are no locks on the specified objects.

    Step 4 - Remove Strategi IFS Tree
  • STRATEGI/RMVIFSTREE DIR('/STRATEGI')

    NOTE: If the RMVIFSTREE command is not available in your version of Strategi, you will need to remove the '/STRATEGI' IFS tree manually.

    Step 5 - Delete Libraries
  • DLTLIB LIB(STRATEGI)

    Step 6 - Delete User Profiles & Owned Objects
    NOTE: depending on the release of Strategi installed, some of these profiles may not exist.
  • DLTUSRPRF USRPRF(SGICUSSPT) OWNOBJOPT(*DLT)
  • DLTUSRPRF USRPRF(SGIHSMSVR) OWNOBJOPT(*DLT)
  • DLTUSRPRF USRPRF(SGIEVTHDL) OWNOBJOPT(*DLT)
  • DLTUSRPRF USRPRF(SGIJOBCTL) OWNOBJOPT(*DLT)
  • DLTUSRPRF USRPRF(SGIOBJOWN) OWNOBJOPT(*DLT)

    Step 7 - Remove Licensing Key
  • RMVLICKEY LICKEYINP(*PROMPT) PRDID(7O77SGI) (2nd character in "7O77SGI" is the letter "O")
