Knowing how to verify Strategi license expiry dates will assist you in
troubleshooting license-related issues and insure you have ample time
to prepare for license key renewal and prevent the possibility of system
down time.
Method 1: Work With License Information
Strategi license expiry dates can be viewed by looking at
the license itself.
- At an iSeries command line enter: WRKLICINF
- Scroll down to Strategi licenses listed as:
Feature 5001 Strategi by ADVANCED BusinessLink
Feature 5002 Strategi Users
Note: You may have other Strategi licenses to view, depending on
whether any HSM Feature codes were purchased with your system.
- Display the detail of the above licenses and scroll down to the
Key Compliance
Information section to view the Expiration Date.
Method 2: Checking QSYSOPR Messages
You may also monitor QSYSOPR for Strategi license expiry messages.
- At an iSeries command line enter: DSPMSG MSGQ(*LIBL/QSYSOPR)
- Scroll through the list to search for Strategi license expiry messages.
Method 3: Changing the Strategi License Expiry Message Queue
If you do not wish to monitor QSYSOPR for Strategi license expiry messages,
you may add another message queue to the list of notification message queues.
- At an iSeries command line enter: WRKLICINF
- Scroll to the Strategi licenses, listed in Method 1 above, and enter a 2 to change.
- Once the license information is listed on the screen, press ENTER to display additional fields.
- Enter the message queue to receive Strategi license expiry notifications, into the
Message Queue field.
Note: Messages will continue to be sent to QSYSOPR in addition to the queue you designate.
